Three Distinct Works, One Electrifying Experience

Prism is a daring new triple bill that unites three unique artistic visions into a single, unforgettable program. Pairing world-renowned choreographers with iconic composers, this contemporary ballet performance promises to dazzle and inspire.

Experience the visionary work of William Forsythe and Jerome Robbins alongside Australia’s own Stephanie Lake, set to the music of Philip Glass, James Blake, and J.S. Bach reimagined by Peter Brikmanis.

Blake Works V (The Barre Project) – William Forsythe
A kaleidoscope of movement, The Barre Project was born during the pandemic as an homage to dancers training at home. Forsythe’s choreography transforms classical ballet’s fundamental vocabulary into a rigorous, winding, and unwinding exploration, set to James Blake’s intricately layered music.

New Work – Stephanie Lake
Following the success of Circle Electric in 2024, Stephanie Lake pushes ballet beyond its traditional boundaries with an innovative new work that promises bold experimentation and striking visuals.

Glass Pieces – Jerome Robbins
Jerome Robbins fuses urban energy with classical ballet in Glass Pieces, set to Philip Glass’ Glassworks and Akhnaten. Robbins’ signature style captures the pulse of New York City, moving with slick precision and electric intensity.

Presented by The Australian Ballet, Prism is a contemporary ballet experience not to be missed.
