This Kander & Ebb classic transports audiences to a Coney Island of the imagination, on the fringes of New York’s showbiz world. At the heart of the story is Anna Antonelli, whose beloved roller rink is facing demolition—along with the memories of her charming, wayward husband and her painfully shy daughter, Angel. As the rink teeters on the edge of disappearance, it becomes a stage where mother and daughter confront their past, navigate the present, and imagine their future.
Featuring Broadway favourites like “Colored Lights,” “The Apple Doesn’t Fall,” and “Wallflower.”
The Rink premiered on Broadway in February 1984, starring Liza Minnelli and Chita Rivera.
