This joyful exhibition is our way of showing families just how much we love having them here.” \nDesigned as an immersive story-play space\, the exhibition allows children and parents to: \n\nPlay beneath Mr McGee’s tree and slide down its slippery dip\nTurn giant pages of Bertie and the Bear and bring the story to life\nSplash and explore with the animals from Who Sank the Boat?\nDress up in character hats\, discover cosy reading nooks and secret hideaways\nView Pamela Allen’s original illustrations and more\n\nPamela Allen says the exhibition captures the heart of her storytelling.\n“This exhibition is a playground where children and parents can have fun together and create lasting memories. My books are made to be shared — it’s the voice that brings them to life.” \n–> Official website \n \nReview\n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nView this post on Instagram\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nA post shared by Sydney Influencer Shows Theatre Films Events Exhibitions (@chamellephoto) \n\n\n \n📖 Pamela Allen exhibition at the State Library of NSW \n📖 I took my son to see the beautiful exhibition about the career of esteemed author and illustrator Pamela Allen (who is 91 now!) \nI remember her books fondly from my childhood and primary school days so it was nice for my experience to come full circle by me introducing her books to my son. \nI love that the exhibition is suitable for both adults and children. For the adults there’s plenty to look at and read and for the kids there are a few fun interactive activities to explore. My son loved them all. \nI highly recommend you check it out if you have kids or grandkids under the age of 8 or if you’re just a big kid at heart or admirer of beautiful stories/illustrations like me. \nIt’s free and on until July 2027 but don’t leave it till the last minute! \nThe State Library of NSW also hosts a number of other excellent exhibitions (not really suitable for young children though). \n#pamelaallen #pamelaallenexhibition #statelibraryofnsw #lauraharrispublishing #penguinbooks #penguinkidsbooks

SUMMARY:City of Wonder: Wildflower Edition

Using thousands of carefully stacked wooden planks\, he creates monumental urban landscapes where the boundaries between art and architecture blur in captivating ways. \nCity of Wonder was born from Kidwonder’s dream to create a space where sustainability\, creativity\, and play come together. Collaborating with Raffaele has been an incredible experience\, bringing that vision to life by uniting his awe-inspiring artistry with our purpose-driven ethos. Together\, we’ve created more than a city — we’ve created a world where imagination flourishes and wonder truly comes alive. \nAbout Mark Taylor\, Founder of Kidwonder \nMark Taylor is the Founder of Kidwonder and Director of award-winning experience agency Belle Laide Events (BLE)\, with nearly two decades of experience delivering high-impact projects for global brands across Australia\, APAC\, and the USA. Through immersive\, child-led experiences\, Mark is driven by a mission to spark curiosity\, creativity\, and confidence in the next generation. \nKidwonder x Raffaele Salvoldi: Collaboration & Sustainability \nThe collaboration with Raffaele Salvoldi came from a shared vision of creativity and sustainability. Excited to involve kids in the process\, they created City of Wonder\, a space where imagination\, collaboration\, and sustainable design come together. \nUnlike typical school holiday programs\, City of Wonder focuses on purposeful play\, letting children explore sustainability\, urban design\, and teamwork through hands-on\, creative experiences. Most materials\, including hard-to-recycle straws from the NSW 2022 Single-Use Plastic Ban\, are locally sourced and transformed into imaginative building blocks. SUMMARY:Beach
DESCRIPTION:The Beach\nThe centrepiece of the Australian National Maritime Museum’s summer program is The Beach — an exhibition and all-ages playscape designed to bring people together and highlight kindness\, care and community. \nThe Beach reflects shared Australian values: looking out for one another\, welcoming difference\, and celebrating our seaside culture. It affirms the beach as a place that belongs to everyone and should always feel safe and welcoming. \nFollowing the tragic events of 14 December\, the museum reflected deeply on whether to continue. Director and CEO Ms Daryl Karp AM said the decision was ultimately to move forward\, showcasing beaches as places of connection and belonging — spaces of shared joy\, openness and togetherness at the heart of Australian life. \nFun\, art and memory come together through digital projections\, soundscapes\, interactive rockpools and a towering sand-free castle\, transforming the Lighthouse Gallery into a familiar yet imaginative summer world. Here\, the beach becomes not just a destination\, but a way of seeing ourselves and each other. \nWorks by artists including Anne Zahalka\, Max Dupain\, Lola Ryan\, Charles Meere and Ken Done celebrate beach rituals and cultural rhythms\, inviting reflection on how the beach shapes us — and how we shape it. \nPrograms including babies’ hour\, family workshops\, performances\, late nights\, yoga and life drawing encourage connection and acknowledge that beaches have not always felt safe for everyone. Visitors are invited to consider inclusion\, respect and shared responsibility on the shore. \nThe Beach runs as part of the museum’s summer program 19 December 2025 –  1 February 2026\, 10:00 am—4:00 pm.  \nEntry fees – Holiday ticket\n\n\nAdult: $40.00\nFamily: $99.00\nConcession: $35.00\nChild: $30.00\nInfant: Free\nMember: Free\n\n\nhttps://fun-filled-finds.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/The-Beach-objects.mp4\n \nhttps://fun-filled-finds.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/12/The-Beach-rockpools.mp4\n

SUMMARY:Madama Butterfly - Opera
DESCRIPTION:When Love is Lost\, What Remains? \nPuccini’s Madama Butterfly tells the heartrending story of Cio-Cio-San\, a woman who dreams of a life filled with hope\, and Pinkerton\, a man who sees only a fleeting butterfly – something to capture\, possess\, and discard. His selfish pursuit sets in motion a tragedy of sweeping emotional depth. \nThe opera’s score is nothing short of transcendent: from the soaring heights of Cio-Cio-San’s iconic “Un bel di” to the delicate serenity of the “Humming Chorus\,” Puccini’s music captures longing\, heartbreak\, and fleeting moments of beauty. \nMoffatt Oxenbould’s award-winning production is a visual masterpiece. Tiny candles shimmer across floating flowers in a real onstage moat\, while sliding paper panels reveal and conceal the hidden truths of the characters. Sumptuous\, vibrant costumes\, inspired by traditional Japanese dress\, create a serene yet emotionally charged backdrop for the unfolding drama. \nExtraordinary singers breathe life into every note of Puccini’s passionate score\, guided by the expert hands of conductors Andrea Battistoni and Erina Yashima. \nThis Madama Butterfly is more than an opera – it’s an unforgettable\, must-see experience\, a performance that will linger in the heart long after the final curtain. \nPresented by Opera Australia. \n–> More Info / Book Tickets Here or Here

SUMMARY:The Bogong's Song
DESCRIPTION:The Bogong’s Song\nA Journey into Imagination and Country \nWhat lights the way when you’ve lost your path? A whisper on the breeze. A sparkle in the night sky. The delicate flight of a moth. \nWhen a brother and sister switch off the lights for the night\, they are carried into a world of imagination—a doorway into their Dreaming. On a quest to find the elusive Bogong Moth\, they explore a remarkable landscape where Country speaks through stars\, trees\, and grasses\, and healing is found in the quiet moments between breaths. \nThe Bogong’s Song is a vibrant blend of storytelling\, shadow puppetry\, dance\, and music\, created especially for primary-aged children. As the young characters connect with the wisdom of their ancestors\, audiences are invited to experience the deep ties to Country and discover the importance of even the tiniest creatures. \nFrom the creators Yolande Brown and Chenoa Deemal\, this enchanting new work follows the success of Bangarra’s award-winning Waru – journey of the small turtle\, which captivated over 25\,000 children last year. \nFeaturing the extraordinary talents of Benjin Maza and Tjilala Brown-Roberts\, whose dance\, music\, and spoken word bring the story to life\, The Bogong’s Song is a gentle\, magical invitation for children to listen\, wonder\, and reflect. \n— A part of Sydney Festival 2026 \n— At Phive\, Parramatta \n—> More Info / Book Tickets \nReview \n\n\n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nView this post on Instagram\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n  \nA post shared by Sydney Influencer Shows Theatre Films Events Exhibitions (@chamellephoto) \n\n\n \n🎭 The Bogong’s Song : A Call to Country by Bangarra Dance Theatre playing at The Studio Theatre\, Wharf 4-5\, Parramatta \nIt was my first time seeing a Bangarra Dance Theatre performance and honestly\, I was completely blown away. SUMMARY:Turandot Opera
DESCRIPTION:Turandot Opera by Puccini\nWhat is born at night and dies by dawn? What burns without light\, and what ice glows with fire? \nPrincess Turandot never invited suitors to her court – yet they came. She warned them all with riddles sharp enough to kill\, daring anyone to pierce her icy heart. But what happens when someone finally solves the puzzle and reaches the woman behind the legend? \nInternational director and choreographer Ann Yee reimagines Turandot in a breathtaking new production for Australia’s national Opera Conference. With towering sets\, immersive visuals\, and stunning choreography\, this spectacular staging weaves together the courage of Turandot\, the pain of her ancestors\, and the selfless love of another woman into a powerful story of resilience and transformation. \nPuccini’s sweeping score carries audiences through the opera’s vast emotional landscapes—from the thunderous choruses to the spine-tingling heights of “Nessun dorma.” \nTwo of Australia’s leading dramatic sopranos\, Rebecca Nash (fresh from the Metropolitan Opera\, New York) and Anna-Louise Cole (star of The Ring Cycle)\, share the title role. They are joined by acclaimed tenor Young Woo Kim alongside Diego Torre and Rosario La Spina\, under the batons of Henrik Nánási\, Nicholas Milton\, Andrea Battistoni\, and Tahu Matheson. \nA feast for the senses\, Turandot fuses myth\, music\, and movement into an unforgettable theatrical experience — a spectacular highlight of the season that will leave audiences spellbound. \n  \n—> More Info / Book Tickets Here or Here
