The Sheep Detectives (2026)
The Sheep Detectives is a quirky mystery‑comedy coming to cinemas on 7 May 2026, directed by Kyle Balda and produced by Lindsay Doran, Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner. It stars Hugh Jackman as George Hardy, a devoted shepherd whose beloved flock of sheep discover they might be smarter than anyone ever thought when he’s found under mysterious circumstances.
With Nicholas Braun as the hapless local cop Tim Derry, the story follows the sheep as they take matters into their own hooves to solve his murder, arguing over clues and stepping out of their meadow to crack the case. The film features a star‑studded ensemble – including Emma Thompson, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon and the voices of Julia Louis‑Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey and Brett Goldstein – blending whimsical humour with cozy detective fun.
